A compact line of glasses (stem glass 0,3l, glass 0,5l, and jug 0,5l) designed as a concept for B-Cool, a platform exploring new ways and concepts in series production of glass. This time, we were trying to design a concept of drinkware for the Czech brewery Budweiser Budvar, and so our set of glasses follows the present-day pints used by the brewery. Yet, it features clearer lines and is, above all, compact, which solves the main problem of the current Budvar set. The design of the entire set comprises of two common elements, the main profile curve, and the line that stabilizes and positions the glasses. Then there is the depression on the surface of the glasses, as if formed by sqeezing. It's at the same time their main stylistic feature and it produces a sense of dynamics. For every product, there's the company logo at the glass bottom, the most important element for the original company drinkware. Further, there are dynamic lines rising up from the logo and thus drawing even more attention to it. The design study is used by B-Cool for presentations about how it is possible to move shaping of glass forward and respect its history at the same time.

process
In a relatively short period of time, I've designed several 3D studies. The one with a simple shape and an innovative freize, reminiscent of a car bodywork, turned out to be the most suitable.
assignment
Create an inspired and innovative design for beer glasses. The most important tasks were to respect the original glass 0,5l without a handle, currently used by the brewery, and to unify the entire product line of glasses. The contemporary Budvar set is rather disparate, the glass, the stem glass and the jug are all quite different from each other.
