Move your energy rocking chair became the finalist of the Greed Gadgets competition 2009. It has triggered the media interest about me, my studio and our work. The chair could be seen everywhere from web pages through magazines, TV news and cultural broadcasting. After two years of development, there is the result: a fully functional product with an energy-producing mechanism supplying a LED lamp or recharging an iPod.

I was thinking of a product, which would be neither superficial nor a constructional exercise. I liked an idea of designing something usual but unique at the same time. I wanted my work to produce energy as a by-product of its use. At the beginning, I was thinking of a fitness machine that would generate energy by movement. Eventually, I decided to choose relaxing — I constructed a rocking chair that produces energy through relaxing.
