METROFORM / 2020
The visual identity of METROFORM pays tribute to the work of Jaroslav Otruba, a renowned Czech architect who left a remarkable legacy as the chief designer of the Prague Metro. His iconic creations, particularly the distinctive shapes and colorful wall tiles that define the metro stations, served as the main inspiration for the project’s entire visual concept.
The METROFORM design is built around a structured color grid that transforms into a vivid collection of products and souvenirs. The range includes gift items, postcards, posters, notebooks, clothing, and original ceramic tiles, each presented in elegant gift boxes. Every object captures a balance between nostalgia and contemporary aesthetics, reinterpreting the legendary visual language of the Prague Metro for a modern audience.
The collection is part of the official merchandise offered by the Prague City Tourist Office and is available both online and in its flagship retail store located in the Old Town Hall. METROFORM bridges architectural heritage with modern design sensibility, transforming it into an appealing and timeless brand
